About

1. What ensembles do you offer?

We offer Solo Violin, String Duo (violin/cello or violin/viola), String Trio (violin/viola/cello), and String Quartet (2 violins/viola/cello).

2. What ensemble should I choose?

This depends on a lot of factors, including how many guests, size of the room/space, and budget. For an outside wedding, we highly recommend the Trio or Quartet, as you will receive the biggest and most well-rounded sound.

3.  What music do I need to select for my wedding?

You will want to choose a bridal party/family entrance (usually this is one song to help with flow), processional (the bride's entrance), and recessional (after you're announced as a married couple).  We generally pick out the prelude music for when guests arrive ourselves, but some clients like to pick songs they do and do not want to hear.  This is optional.  We are happy to give you recommendations for the ceremony music as well if you need help.

4. Can I select a song not on your repertoire list?

Yes, you can. We take up to 3 new requests per event.  If we can find the sheet music for free, we will use that.  However, if we have to purchase music for our group, or arrange it since no sheet music exists for the song you selected, then there will be an additional cost.  Our contract covers this.

5. When do song selections need to be finalized? At least six weeks prior.

5. What is your dress code?

We wear formal black:  black suit (tux available only upon request) for men, and black skirt/dress pants and top for women

6. Do you perform outside weddings?

Yes, we do!  However, due to the precious materials that our instruments are made from, we cannot expose them to rain or direct sunlight.  If it rains, there needs to be a back-up location in place, or a large tent enclosed on all four sides so that no rain will come in contact with the instruments. Check with your venue to see if there is a shaded spot from a large tree, or from the building itself. This often suffices for us.  If no shaded spot is available, arrangements for a small tent must be made by the client.

**Temperatures must be between 60-90 degrees.  Our instruments can (and have) cracked due to extreme temperatures. Also, cold temperatures cause our instruments to go out of tune, and make it very difficult for our fingers to perform. If you are holding an outside wedding, please be sure to book an indoor heated location or an outdoor enclosed heated tent as a back-up in case of rain or extreme temperatures. The heated tent must maintain a temperature of 60 degrees during the whole performance. If this clause is not met, we reserve the right to not perform and no refund will be given.
